Howdy-do

When I became a bonafide cardcarrying member of my local library, I asked friends and families to name a good book.
That's what I'd say: "What's your favorite book?"
"The Sun Also Rises"
"A Tale of Two Cities"
"Gone with the Wind"
"Anne of Green Gables"
I read them all, any recommended to me. Then I moved on to magazine reviews, and the review in my weekly paper, and the Sunday bestseller list. But when I see a book at the library, sitting on a shelf, I think, "what about this one? how come I never heard anything about you?"
So I'm on my own.
